Volkswagen Atlas Digital Event Guide

Brief:

Volkswagen partnered with automätik to launch the 2018 Atlas, an all-new three-row SUV, to their to their nationwide dealer network. A compressed deliverable timeline demanded an interactive, intuitive digital element to support non-stop engagement and hands-on learning throughout the 19-city tour and multiple training waves.

I collaborated with instructional designers to create an interactive training asset that would become the first of many digital event guides for automätik.I effectively streamlined product and competitive content into mobile-friendly snippets and included activities such as vehicle ratings, drag and drop fill-in-the-blanks and focused checklists for vehicle exploration. I also integrated Augmented Reality (AR) into the digital curriculum using the Blippar platform. Using this strategic learning tool, participants scanned banner targets to trigger microsites and launch videos to enhance their Atlas immersion. Poll Everywhere was also utilized within the event guide for live polling and quizzing during training. Additionally, I worked with an external vendor to incorporate gamification into the site, including team divisions and scores. A secondary site was created for facilitators to add team points in addition to a thoughtfully designed scoreboard to display team rankings.

Results:

The Atlas Digital Event Guide was a monumental success for clients, facilitators, and trainees and yielded additional business and projects with Volkswagen. The DEG has since been used for other projects across various brands for automätik.
